As your surf progresses, it may be time to add some more boards to your collection. Boards for the smaller days, boards for the bigger swell and maybe even just a board for display. Luckily we have developed the perfect solution to store that priced quiver of yours.

This horizontal multi rack comes in both a 3-board and a 5-board version. Made from 100% bamboo, with arms that easily pop in and neoprene tape to protect your boards. A fully modular design enables you to switch the arms with hooks from our 2-in-1 surfboard storage solution, so you can give your favorite board the eyeballs it deserves! Suitable for surfboards with our without fins, but it also works great for storing skate-, kite-, or snowboards.

How do I mount the stacker?

We have a beautiful instruction manual which you can find here.

Is the neoprene tape sustainable?

Sadly the neoprene tape is not sustainable. We could not currently find a sustainable solution which will protect your board as good as neoprene tape does. However, we hope to be able to offer a 100% sustainable solution in the near future, and if you have ideas, hit us up!

We totally get it if you are pro mother Earth and decide you do not need the neoprene tape, in that case leave a remark in the instructions box in your cart and we will make sure your hooks come without the tape! 

Do the black edges stain?

Our products are cut out of bamboo by a laser (we know, some sci-fi sh*t) which leaves the edges burned, resulting in the black color. Since the laser literally burns through the bamboo, the surface of the edges may still contain some charcoal dust which can stain (but is often very easy to remove as well).

Be careful with white or other light surroundings when handling our products. The best way to assure they won’t stain is to wipe the edges with a damp cloth before use.

Can they be used outside or for storing wet equipment?

This product is intended for indoor use only. Using it outside and exposing it to elements such as water harms the bamboo and can result in irreparable damage. 

Same goes for storing your equipment while it is not fully dry. Be aware that this can result in both visual and structural damage to the product.

If you do want to protect your product from the elements we recommend coating the bamboo with a varnish. Always consult an expert when working with these materials.

Beautiful, sustainable, and easy to construct

The second we got into buying a house (or at least moving to a place where we’d have some freedom and ability to make decisions), I looked into a surf board rack. Specifically: one from SHCKRACK.

I’m sure some of you will recognise creative surf board storage: using a closet, wall, or even freezer or couch to manouever your surfboards somewhere in between. Hoping they’ll still be standing when you get home. 🛋 (and in my case: having to move them all the time because of the robot vacuum cleaner 🧹)

And I’m sure I’m not the first one to try and make my own surf board rack. I looked up Youtube tutorials and created Pinterest boards. I already got two pallets from the neighbours and borrowed a hammer. But the summer of 2021 went by and I still had no surf board rack.

This year was gonna be different. And I wanted to do it well. So...
✔️ space for all my boards (5 of them)
✔️ sustainable by using at least repurposed or recycled materials but preferably sustainably sourced materials
✔️ supporting a small brand, fellow passionate surfers

In my search, I stumbled upon Shck rack, a company founded by two Dutch guys. It ticked all the boxes. 😍 I loved all the communication with them in order to set up this collab. I could feel their passion for surfing and for making the world a better place.

🔨 How did I experience the constructing part?

I required some assistance from my tall (and helpful) boyfriend, but in general, all the instructions were very easy to follow and I am sure it would be possible to do as 2 surfer girls. Just make sure to have the right drill size as our drill broke. 😋
